Musician and producer Thomas Surugue started his musical education at an early age.
After a solid conservatoire training, culminating in a first prize in classical piano, he opened up to improvisation and jazz before diving into electronic music. Self-taught in sound production, he explored audio creation while performing in various contemporary music projects in Paris and Lyon, blending jazz-rock, alternative music, and electronic brass band styles.His artistic universe unfolds through multiple identities: under the name Samoth Moth, he weaves immersive electronic music at the intersection of the emotional and the synthetic. His work focuses on texture, rhythm, and sonic dramaturgy, where machines become vehicles for emotion.At the same time, he co-founded the duo Viudmoth (keys/drums), a live-focused project combining raw energy with a colorful world.In 2025, he unveils Le monde onirique de Timéo, an album released under his real name, Thomas Surugue. This more intimate work favors storytelling over techno pulses, offering music that evokes a journey through a child’s imagination. Between acoustic reminiscences, electronic landscapes, and sound poetry, the album delivers a sensory journey—at times gentle and melancholic, at others darker and more intricate.
